Funeral Service Operative Ray Roser from William H Painter Funeral Directors Birmingham here at a charity auction and raffle in aid of the Teddy Rose Foundation.
Ray organised and compered the event which took place on Saturday 11th May at the Willclare Sports & Social Club in Sheldon and raised £1000.00. The aim of the evening was to raise funds and awareness of the work that the Foundation is doing with bereaved parents in the West Midlands.
The Teddy Rose Foundation was set up by Mike and Trisha White who, through their own personal experiences, want to help and support families that have gone through baby loss. The couple make cuddle blankets which can be separated into two halves, one half staying with the family and the other half with baby. These blankets provide great comfort and with the help of events such as this, their valuable work can continue.
The Foundation also works with local hospitals and provides cuddle blankets to the Eden Suite at Heartlands Hospital; Good Hope Hospital; City Hospital; Women’s Hospital; Coventry & Warwickshire Hospital; Russell’s Hall Hospital; George Eliot Hospital and Walsall Manor Hospital.
