Transient-Art held an exhibition at Newman Brothers Coffin Works, initially as part of the European wide “Museums at Night” programme on Saturday 16th May 2015. The exhibition continues until July 2015.
The artists will show in the gallery and throughout the museum on the day with a special event in the evening 6pm until 10pm. On that evening a vehicle from William H. Painter will be parked in the courtyard, in front of which there will be a temporary stage where a group of students will hold a fashion catwalk wearing garments they have made in response to the project. The exhibition will explore the history of the works, its workers and owners, its goods and services and its subject matter. All Transient-Art projects are part funded by the Arts Council of England and William H. Painter have provided sponsorship for this event.
